EPIC-FSC will participate in the upcoming “Be Prepared” Safety Fair, hosted by Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin and Supervisor Lindsey Horvath. This event, scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Calabasas Community Center, aims to provide essential safety information and resources to the community.

Be part of the solution! EPIC-FSC is proud to announce a crucial event aimed at bolstering community resilience and emergency preparedness. On October 29th, 2023, EPIC-FSC hosted an Amateur Radio License Class and Exam from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the picturesque Juan Batista de Anza Park in Calabasas.
EPIC-FRS will be distributing complimentary FRS radios to Calabasas residents during the annual Calabasas Pumpkin Festival, organized by the City’s Community Services Department.
Members of the Calabasas Fire Safe Council, EPIC-FSC shared important wildfire mitigation information and resources at The Commons at Calabasas Summerfest BBQ on Saturday, June 10th from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. The local non-profit organization is committed to sharing what Calabasas homeowners need to do now to protect their properties from the threat of wildfires.
The Calabasas Earth Day Festival provides the perfect platform for EPIC-FSC to connect with neighbors and like-minded individuals. The event attracts people who are concerned about the environment, and emergency preparedness is a critical aspect of ensuring the safety of both people and the planet.
Moderated by seismologist Lucy Jones, a panel of scientists, engineers, and public officials will provide insight into what happens during and after earthquakes, how scientists and government officials interact, and the future of the field- discussing films such as 1974’s Earthquake and 2015’s San Andreas. Audience members will see Hollywood earthquake hits and misses and have the opportunity to ask questions of the panelists.
